MTU may be limited by this USB modem.

Perhaps MTU can be increased using a router instead, and the router will also provide a hardware firewall through its NAT function. See this:

Use the recommended values in blue above. Setting the value too high will cause slowdown if your line suffers packet retransmissions.

Hello....After successful use TCPOptimizer on XP SP2 via my eXtreme dEkstop pc :D now im currently used vista on my new notebook with a Huawei E220 USB Modem 3G/HSDPA/GPRS/EDGE connection ;) ...Any idea how to tweak my speed on vista? :thumb:

Napsters, you may want to start a new thread since this is a different computer.
As trogers would say, " Optimizer does not work with Vista", however there may be some things he or rollingstone could suggest.

see Philip's article on Windows Vista Tweaks:

Run Analyzer and speed test using the laptop and post the results.

Open command prompt and run netsh int tcp show global and copy/post results.



This is what I get, yours should be similar.

Have 1.5 Mbps DSL through Qwest (telephone company). Compaq SR2180NX, and 2Wire 2701HG-D modem/router. Usually get 1330 - 1360 kbps down.
First used Optimizer on my old computer that ran ME about 6 years ago when I finally got a 250 kbps DSL connection. Still have the old ME hooked up wireless to my modem and it averages about 1340 kbps.
