I had it pre-ordered on iTunes and got it at midnight. Brilliant. Should easily get them a Grammy nod for best metal performance of the year.
It is a full on 100% guitar orientated album.
the record is full of anthems, rage, guitar solos, tasty riffage, melodic lines, great singing and screaming, sick drums....
The title track...When All Hope is Gone....just amazing lol.
I've been buying alot of metal lately and this by far is the best.
The song called Child of Burning Time will probably scare the hell out of diehards but holy crap.....
All I can say is that it is a complete surprise to me that it turned out this good. Really blown away.

Best metal album I have heard this year would have to be Shinedown's new one. That said the song Psychosocial is growing on me a little.

Psychosocial is probably one of the weaker songs on the record....if there is such a thing.

Hard Rock/Metal I guess would be the category during an awards ceremony.

Maybe I'm just to old, but I don't get it, what is it with Slipknot that captures all of you?

**** I'm gonna get railed for knowing this but she's singing with Anastacia.
Would you believe the only reason I know it is she's married to Luc Robitaille?

Wow

Maybe I need to give it a little longer, but I'm not pleased. They lost their old sound. I do like Psychosocial though.
