download speed question

Post by mymindilost »

i noticed when using utorrent, my download speed rarely exceeds 5kbps.
with this in mind i went to speedtest to see what my speed is and it has
upset me.

Image

now my connection is going from my dsl model to an 8 port switcher
then out to 5 computers. if my download is supposed to be 244, why
am i only downloading at 5? and what can i do to improve my download speeds?

Your speedtest show you maxim download speed. In utorrent is relevant number of connections and seedleers. If you not connected at several seedler the download speed is worst.

i recommend a new provider. this provieder you garanted a minimum speed download and you not exceed this limit.

if you download from extern server download speed is low. try a download 1-2 torrents. there your speed should be as 1-2 Mbps.
