put the numbers that are on the thingymabob into google and see what it brings up

it looks like there is a serial number on the one piece but it is blurred and i cannot read it. type that into google.

first of all, if you cannot laugh at a joke followed by helpful input, BY ME which is the SAME METHOD YOU USED, then you *********.

People are allowed to come here for help. They figure a forum based on computer enthusiasts is likely to have someone who can recognize something (gee..someone else might even own one), or help someone right away with knowledge.

If you don't want to help, fine, don't, but no need to poke fun at someone not turning to Google first. Long time member who hadn't been around for years, gets "help" like this...probably won't be back. Way to boost forum membership!

i did not see a post like this from you when someone not too long ago asked for help and a few on here poked fun said things like "try google" and something like "i usually do my own homework".
pick and choose huh?

i followed immediately up with good suggestions then randy got bent out of shape and then used MY suggestions to provide the answer. that is funny stuff. then you come on here posting what you posted but others have done the same thing without a rebuttal post from you. hmmm.

you come on here posting what you posted
The "do your own homework" replies come from threads clearly made by some student trying to avoid doing their own homework in Network +/Cisco classes. They're pretty easy to pick out (for most of us anyways)...when it's their first post, and you can search other network forums by their username and see the exact same question cut 'n pasted. Otherwise, as my sheet amount of helpful replies to posts in the networking/routers/software/security forums will clearly and easily testify, I try to help.
