problems getting Battlefield 2142 to work

ok my friend gave me his battlefield 2 cd. when i installed it and created an account then tried to log in it said that this cd key has already been registered. i called the guy that i got it from and he doesnt remember his account so he can delete it so that mine would work so what do i do no???

Yup, sounds normal. Many online games now require a unique key to activate...sort of like Microsoft Windows. Tis best to stay away from getting "used" ones from friends or sources other than a game retailer like a store or your favorite online place to purchase computer software.
