Random Restart during games

I have an a64 300+ and i believe a nvidia 6800gt... soemthing like that. Both are OC'd.

Recently i have had some problems while playing Madden 2008-The only game/graphic intensive thing i do on my computer. 3 months ago i would play madden 1-50 games I would see large artifacts in the middle of my screen. Game still played fine. I clocked my Vid card OC back a bit. a month later i see the same thing so i do the same. Now recently i have had a few times where my computer just reset on me all together w/o warning. I recently OCd a little less on my CPU...

The wierd thing is, is that i Fold all day 24/7 and never had a problem. My OC on my vid card is half as much as i used to have it. I recently cleaned both HSF on the vid card/CPU. And whats worse is its hard to recreate the problem as it happens randomly.

Any advice?

hmmmm could be a number of things. i would suspect that you video card is starting to go. do you have a spare that you can test with?
as for solutions that don't involve a new card, try raising you voltages up a bit, but check to make sure the current is steady. If its fluctuating, the root of your problem may be that your powersupply isn't giving a steady current. BTW what are you voltages at?
