@home USB ethernet
The @home USB ethernet adapter says that it has 10/100 speeds. Is this true? Because I can never transfer files at 100mbps, and my other NIC is a Dlink 10/100. Ahoyhoy
What speeds do you usually get? Someone will explain better than me, but from what I understand, it's like this.
There's like a maximum limit, due to packet compression, header information, line conditions, blah, blah, blah, that limits it to like 80mbs or so. I believe hard drive speed makes a difference as well. correct me if I'm wrong, but what do you normally get, maybe someone else can tell you possibly how to increase you speeds.
