so Your friend has 15,000 mbs of ram. And you make it sound as if this person is going to try and put this in his computer? 600. for 15000 mbs of ram, I can resale and make a killing at that price, LOL. lets see I would call someone a lier. For 64mbs of ram here in the USA at a good price would ran at about 48.00 (good price but have seen it at that price). OK so that's 64mbs of ram and then there's the 15,000 well, just to do another pointless thing less use the 64/15000 would be about 234 64mb chips he would have to buy, 117 128mb chips. 234 (the 64mb chips) * that 48 is about 12000.00. Even if these chips were 264 if they make them that high, there's not a computer that can hold that many mem chips. And your friend should have got a better computer all together be/c if his thinks he can do anything with that crap he paid for your right he's dumb. Even If there was away to put that much ram into a computer don't think it would last long in mine, I have watch the damn thing eat 5mbs within a sec. So I call you or your friend a lier, he's just someone that wants to think he knows what he's talking about just like every 15yearold.

If you want to see a current price on 512 meg dimm chips, go here...they're selling for $201 each...so you can get 1.5 gig for $603 plus shipping...some motherboards can handle up to 1.5 gig...the AMD T-bird board I have is one of them...some of you need to do a little more research before you start flaming people...

You might want to reconsider your math....1.5 gig = 1536 meg which, when divided by 64 will give you 24...Originally posted by loosbrew:

1 Kilobyte = 1024 bytes
1 Megabyte = 1024 Kilobytes
1 Gigabyte = 1024 Megabytes
1024 * 1.5 = 1536

This has been bothering me all day...if you have a bone to pick with a particular person, then aim your comments on them...don't go lumping every person of a particular nationality/race/sex/whatever together as being the same, because we're not. If you can't put enough thought together to form a coherent sentence, then don't even bother trying...
And to all the others in here, like I said in a previous post, check your facts before you start flaming someone...all you do is make yourself out to be like joker12578 said:
"someone that wants to think he knows what he's talking about."

HAHAHAHA, big deal. So what I get wrong? I put the dot in in the wrong place in 234(23.4). And being I haven't been checking the newer stuff in computer for about a year or more didn't know that there were 512 or that one computer to HOLD 3 of them. Not as if it would do much but slow down the computer. And when I said: "someone that wants to think he knows what he's talking about" was pointing this at hiz friend. My bad shar, my mistake. Guess I didnt' "check the facts". Not something I would do, on something that I wouldn't think of doing I guess?
