Kinds of Dogs?

Post by JC »

I was just wondering, for the Dog owners out there. What kind of dogs you have?

I myself have 2 retired racing greyhounds. They are awesome dogs, and make great pets once they retire.
Gimme a second and i'll see if I can find some pics.

Dammit JC, I did NOT need a reason to like you. Then you go and get some ex-racer hounds. You SOB.

I'm currently supporting a rescue GSD, male named Banjo.
There us a high likelihood that an 11 y/o female GSD is coming to live with me soon. Figure I'll give the old gal some pretty sweet golden years.

I have an American Allaunt and an American Staffordshire Terrier and they're both built like bricks.

Awesome dogs and they love my kids. Great guard dogs to boot! When my daughters are playing outside, if anyone approaches the fence, Calvin the Terrier stands by my eldest and Hobbes the Allaunt stands by my youngest. As soon as whomever approached the fence leaves or if I or my wife acknowledge them, they back away and let them play. Once, some neighborhood kids were playing around and jumped the low part of our old fence while my daughters played out back and all I heard was screams. When I ran to the yard, it was to 12 yr old boys screaming like girls since they were cornered in the yard by my beasts. They won't bite unless they know you're a threat. It's amazing how intuitive dogs are.

I've had my 2 for quite some time now.

My youngest one is female. She is 9 Missy Brenda (AKA Keds Ms Brenda) We Adopted her when she was 4. Thats my baby!
My oldest one is a male. He's 14, Blue Gene (AKA Right's Gene) Retired when he was 5, then was a stud. Got him when he was 9. Another family got him when he was 7, but had to move etc. No one wanted him because he had seizures. We adopted him and have loved him ever since.

He's 7 months old. We picked him up from a breeder up in Indiana while we were there over Christmas time :)
