Thanks. It took less than 5 minutes. For an IT professional, it should take a lot less!

Play with them. They are really pretty easy to do. I put up a couple of screen shots for blebbs on how I made mine as an example on just how easy they really are to do.

naw...its a nice feature but borderlines on turning everything in to a social network and I didn't join SG for that...I turned a few of those features off in my own forums when this 3.7.0 upgrade came out. If I wanted a social network I'd point to facebook or myspace which is a waste of internet anyway.

Use a tile if you want it to look like Indy's background. You can find them all over the place with google.

Once you have a pic, upload it to your new album and link to it from there.

I used one pic I made with Paint shop. Only I made it to cover the whole screen..(at least on my puter.) I did it this way other than a tile because I couldn't get it to be seamless as a real tile should be.

Once it's uploaded and you link to it, then choose blank, horizontal, vertical, both or none.

You'll need to play with that but you can see your changes at the bottom of the screen.

Use "both" for one that's seamless in both directions.

By the way, your albums on the old format are going away soon. If there is anything you need off of them, grab them and put them in your new album on your profiles.

sorry, I like the natural look

I was going to post a link to that thread, but the SG search results for "bullsh|t" were too numerous

sometimes you have to think outside the box to get inside the box ;).

you make it sound like that someone with the title of "I.T. professional" should know how to do everything that is PC related.

that is very rarely the case if ever.

Have to give me some time to update mine. I am now on the slowest dial up I have used since the mid 90's. Painfully slow compared to my old cable connection in Texas. I would even go back to DSL if it was here.

Debbie, in my profile, look at the album to the right. It's where I put the images I'm using. Upload your pic to your new album. Then click on the pic IN your album. That should give you a url for the pic. A no brainer to be sure. Use that link for your pics in your custom profile.

I also have a couple of pics to show blebbs what I was doing.
