SYSTEM BUS SPEED...HELP!!

how do you tell what bus speed your processor runs at? i need help so i know what kind of RAM i need to buy and add to the existing ram.thanks in advance for anyones help.

you can check in your CMOS (bios frontend) if your MOBO supports softmenu, or just tell us the processor and we'll tell u the default bus speed (e.g. pentium 3 667, or athlon 800)

indeed. there are a lot of helpful people who could give you the info you need

you can also use utilities/apps such as Belarc Advisor ( http://www.rocketdownload.com/Details/Inte/advisor.htm ), SiSoft Sandra ( http://www.tweakfiles.com//allinone/sisoftsandra.html ), and such which can give you a detailed system profile.
