Will A 28" Monitor Good For Gaming?

Will a 28" monitor good for gaming? One of my friends is going to buy a new monitor to replace the old samsung. And he is a heavy gamer, we are now looking at this HannsG HG281DJB 28", none of our friends have any experience with that big monitor, will it be good for gaming? Will it have any special requirements for the computer?

Well the screen size is nice, but at the same resolution as a 24" I'd go with a 24" monitor.

Now the downside to a large monitor is that you need to be able to support it, with the latest games out there like crysis and cod4 and UT3, that means a high end video card.

The size is not entirely important, just get whatever is a good size to you. For gaming you will want something with a high refresh rate and a low response time.
