Do you believe in Bigfoot?

Post by JAFO »

OK. A couple of friends and I got into an argument last night about whether bigfoot/sasquatch/yeti/skunkape etc... really exist. I say no, they say yes, and their logic is, "so many people have spotted them, they must be real". So I was wondering how the folks on here think on this topic.

The poll is serious, the video is a little humor.

I put the link above in Youtube quotes but it didn't work, try this way.

Odd that archeologists can find coprolite all over the world but so far, not one single person has found a single pile of fresh/old bigfoot/sasquatch/yeti/skunkape crap...

It is possible that such creatures exist; but science demands verifiable proof.

If you assumed them to be like animals, you expect to find their crap. If they have intelligence close to humans, they would dispose of their crap in a more hygenic manner.

LOL...most humans in the wild don't bury their crap....and I know this for a fact since Idaho has more wilderness than any state in the lower 48. LOL

That is because humans today do not treat nor treasure the wilderness as their home, unlike Bigfoot.

I wonder who is the smarter...LOL

I believe there are creatures, bugs, and other things we don't know exist yet. Whether there is a creature out there like bigfoot, I do not know, but I don't discount the possibility that a creature like that does exist, at the same time I'm willing to believe it doesn't exist. But I do think there are living things we have not discovered yet, out there.

Just as a point of reference for those who think we've found every large creature - the Gorilla, no small mammal, was unknown to science and believed to be a folk tale until 1847.

Only from the white European perspective! ;) I'm sure gorillas weren't folk tales to native tribes in Africa.

Hmmmm...had to think on this one a bit. Do I definitely believe? No Do I definitely not believe? No

What I do believe in is the possibility, and keeping an open mind.

You bet!

Of course, what did we know about Africa then? Nothing that we really want to think about these days.

I don't think Bigfoot is out there, but I'm keeping an open mind since it costs nothing.
