Looking for good MP games.

Post by PsykoPenguin »

Me and my bro are looking for good online Team Based multiplayer games that can be played with splitscreen via Xbox Live.

There's already 5 games out of the question so please no one suggest these.

Ruled out games:

Gears of War - (we're selling the game, we've beat it already and we get dropped and harassed in every match we go into)
Halo 3 - (We're just tired of the halo series, we don't want halo anymore.)
GRAW - (We found the game to be rather boring.)
FEAR - (we beat it and there's no one online playing it.)
Perfect Dark Zero - (Last we checked there was no one online playing this game and the AI isn't very fun.)

aside from that everything is up for suggestions, we'll look into many games but we're only buying one. Also we're not looking for just co-op, co-op we can do without, we want something to play online with other people so it'd have to be team vs team or just one big co-op thing.

Oh another thing, please only suggest games that are available in retail inside the United States.

Yeah, one more thing is that we're trying to get something we both like seeing as the 60 USD's are in Best Buy (so we're just limited to best buy unfortunately) gift cards and they belong to the both of us.

My wife and i have found that alot of the new 360 games don't have splitscreen multiplayer unless its co-op. I don't think you can play COD4 multiplayer and split, same with R6 vegas. but as online multiplayer (1 per xbox) they are my favorite online games.

Was goign to say Graw, but you already said you don't like it. :(

NHL 2008 or NHL 2k8 FTW

only if you like sport games (hockey)

I like hockey. It's pretty much the only sports game I do like but aside from that my brother doesn't like sports games a whole lot, nor do I.

Someone in some other site said Kane & Lynch, does that have online multiplayer via splitscreen or is that a co-op only type of thing?

I might be incorrect but i think Kane and Lynch is a singleplayer game.

It's co-op, but only for local play, not online.

It is a very ugly game. :o

What about Beautiful Katamari? or Rayman Raving Rabbids?

Katamari has some fun multiplayer, but the co-op (where each of you essentially controls your half of the same Katamari) is local only. The versus mode is like a mini version of the actual game, but allows you to compete against another player online. Either way, Beautiful Katamari is essentially a souped up version of We <3 Katamari, so unless you know of the weirdness the game is capable of, you might want to stay far away from it...

Personally, I felt that Rayman was a very fun party game...on the Wii. It is almost painfully apparent that the game was designed for the Wiimote, and not a Dual Shock or a 360 controller. It's not a terrible game on the 360 (and it's probably less than $20 now for it), it's just really "ehh" when you aren't watching a friend swing a controller around their head like a lasso trying to toss a cow 200 meters.
