That first shot doesn't look very ingame to me. It looks like concept art.Sava700 wrote:doesn't matter.. your still suggesting the builders of the games hold back...and they shouldn't. They should build the best and most hardware/software intensive game such as Crysis to out last hardware for a while longer than a few months. They even said Crysis is "Future Proof" therefore the game itself is upgradable to keep up with hardware.
A pure example of this is screen shots they put out months ago against those taken right now from the Demo...clearly a big difference
But you have to take into account that the first shot showing those awesome graphics were prob done on something from here:

Well it seems the NK do have Nano suits.. its technology that is being developed right now so its nothing to far in the future. Watch this Single Player action that was leaked showing the NK in nano suits!
http://www.gamevideos.com/video/id/15837
You can also hear the comment about the NK having "Cheap knockoffs" LOL
so this in turn will be leveled out for Multiplayer since it does appear that both sides have the suits!!!
Year is 2020...a not so distant future.
do you think we are alone in Space...?

I find the first one much better. There's a blur to moving objects which adds realism. The ground cover (brown leaves) look much more realistic, as does the foliage.YARDofSTUF wrote:It looks ingame. But the text is trying to force an opinion, I think the gun in the 2nd one is better, also the clearity is too, but then they arent comparing the exact same scene.
Demo...was boring.

The demo is DX9 tho right? So maybe it will be better in DX10? The blur is a bit over the top, more real yeah, but 100% realism shouldnt be the goal of gaming, but it seems where thigns are headed for FPS, at least as far as visual realism.YeOldeStonecat wrote:I find the first one much better. Yeah...finished it. Seems to be as far as the demo goes...it might have taken almost two hours to finish. Once past the initial "Woooo...cool" of looking at the graphics....so far the excitement of playing ..just isn't there.Sava700 wrote:boring????
Don't count it out unless you play the whole thing!![]()
Especially annoying when you have the fill the bad guys with 500 pounds of lead to kill them.

no mean finish the whole game not the demo.... and to kill the bad guys one single shot to the head will do it every time.YeOldeStonecat wrote:Yeah...finished it. ... But you have passed judgement on the game, you've said over and over how great you think its gonna be. This is the same thing as that, only the opposite opinion.Sava700 wrote:the demo is just that.. a very small fraction of the game... I'd never pass judgement on a game by playing a incomplete demo or beta.
And demos are made to encourage people to buy the game, game makers know people will judge them.

Played this today for the first time...all I can say is WOW!
Plays good at 1280x768 4xAA all settings on high. Ultra high is still smooth but very slow. Need more power captain!

I find the check point saving every 10 feet to be anoying...it locks up the screen and alot of the time your in a middle of a fire fight. Im with cat, it does take a insane mount of bullets to take someone out, its like head shot or nothing. The Asian taunts are pretty funny. I bumped the res up to 1600, it didnt really slow it down at all.
What kind of rig would it take to run this at max settings?
Soooooo when does the game come out?

I saw that too...but with even a 8800GTX fully cranked wide open for settings and Overclocked to its extreme your only going to get maybe 5FPS with that type of graphical view. You have to give up something somewhere for now till the hardware catches up with this game cause Crysis IS the NextGen game!Shagster wrote:http://forums.gametrailers.com/showthread.php?t=222046

So them playing it with more than 5FPS was MAGIC!? Cool. I always believed.Sava700 wrote:I saw that too...but with even a 8800GTX fully cranked wide open for settings and Overclocked to its extreme your only going to get maybe 5FPS with that type of graphical view. I believe most of the screen shots were done from Workstations not Home PC'sShagster wrote:So them playing it with more than 5FPS was MAGIC!? Cool. I always believed.

From the crysis forum link. Settings were very high, not utra.
The game is on Torrent sites already. That was quick. I'm going to buy it though.

I wouldn't torrent this game for two reasons:
-The amount of updates that are going to be required to keep this game running it's best is going to be large, and that's a pain if you have to keep recracking or whatever.
-Multiplayer!

Those = SUCK for games. They're workstation cards, which have always sucked hard core at games.Sava700 wrote:I believe most of the screen shots were done from Workstations not Home PC's

You'd be surprised...they generally are much stronger with certain features such as anti-aliasing (but for wire frames), texturing, and drivers optimized running scenes within windows so you can layer windows and work with menus on top of these windows (useless for games). Plus the drivers are highly developed for compatibility with certain apps such as CAD. Often the same core VPU and underlying hardware as the consumer GeForce line...so they can generally run nearly toe-to-toe with consumer level cards in games...it's just many of those features are not "enabled" by the consumer grade drivers.Joel wrote:
