Fall Colors 2007

Post by Illini25 »

Getting about that time of year. Was in northern Wisconsin this past weekend on a fishing trip. They are a few weeks away from peak season, but from the four days I was there you could see a big difference in the colors from the span of those days.

Back home here in central Illinois, everything here is still green for the most part. We are probably at least a month away.

Very pretty :thumb: :thumb:

Catch any fish?

No sign of Fall here yet, still pushing 90 and tons of humidity :irate:

Thanks Cybo. :thumb:

Caught a lot of fish. :) Mostly walleye's. But also caught a lot of northerns, few small mouth bass and crappie.

No Muskies on this trip. :( Well, not officially, LOL. Caught about a 10" crappie and all of a sudden it felt like he went under a log or something. Was using a spin caster with 6lbs test. Fought the fish for five minutes or so just keeping the line tight and playing with the drag as he was just pulling the line out like a mad man. Got the fish to surface and there was about...I don't know a 50" musky with a crappie in his mouth..the fish that I just caught, lol. Soon as he surfaced, he let go and off he went. Talk about a blast! Legs and knee's were shaking for five minutes after. What it's all about! :thumb:
