intel x38

i've read some recent articles on the x38 appearance very soon and i can say without a doubt this technology excites me and that it's finally time (after 6 years) to update my gaming system. although, if someone could clear up one thing for me. the x38 will have lots of goodies, but as i read it i will not be able to take advantage of some of them since the motherboards aren't able to support everything. a friend suggested i wait a few months after release when the bugs get worked out. any thoughts? links?

I think its a waste of money. Your not going to get $100 worth of extra performance over a p35 board, or even a p965 board for that matter (if you care not for next gen). Look at the 865/875 series. Or the 945/955/975 series.

Never hurts to wait for revisions but bios updates will usually fix everything in a few weeks if you buy from a reputable company.
