My Apologies to serious thread posters.
My Apologies to serious thread posters.
I come to SpeedGuide to goof off. An occasional serious post here and a few in the other forums... but for the most part, I come her to relax and have fun. Having fun means joking around, adding humor to a thread with a humorous shot (or a picture) and living on that thin line having Downhill PM me to back-off.
I need to be who I am. Serious when I need to be (generally at work) and able to relax and be a goof when I'm not at work (here at SpeedGuide on occasion). However, I'll try to refrain from craping in serious threads as it is impolite and rude, and does not represent the professional technical website which SpeedGuide is.
That said... here is a thread to crap in, express different opinions and even post a picture or two. I have to be me... but I'll try to keep a professional distance from those who have something they need to discuss.

The general forum is hardly the place for professional technical discussion anyway, that is what the other forum topics are for

At biker rallies all over the world. The one I’ve been to most often is at Gulfport Dragway in Mississippi. You’ll never watch a woman eat a hotdog the same way ever again. The woman who takes the biggest bite wins. I’ve seen some women swallow the whole damn hotdog. It’s no wonder their old men have perpetual smiles on their faces.
If I can ever pull it off some how, my ideal rally is to make a run to Sturgis
The bikes and babes are great, but I want to put my knees in the breeze and ride through the Black Hills of South Dakota.

*makes note to go to Sturgis next year*
Doc, Sturgis is great because of the natural views of the area, but the blowouts at No Problem Raceway in Belle Rose Louisiana are quickly become known as some of the wildest biker events in the nation.

At one point, if you were under 18 years old, you wasn’t getting in, PERIOD.

I see that Kevin Costner was there (Sturgis) one year. For $50 (which went to charity) you could ride with him and get your picture taken at some view point. I don't think he's ridden very long as it appeared the bike had control of him.

Man, I wish I could name all the cool bikers I’ve ever met.
Here’s a picture with me and Indian Larry. Probably the coolest of all of the dudes. We talked for a long time, and he talked to me like we were old friends that hadn’t seen each other in years. Among others, such as Billy Lane, Jesse James ect.

When I working in a bike shop, Oluf F. Zierl came in for a tire change when he was touring the US. He’s a very well known photojournalist and author in Europe.
This book is worth a small f**king fortune for a number of reasons. It was the first edition, the only hard cover two book set, he signed it to me and it’s out of print. Plus, unfortunately Oluf has passed away.
Harley Davidson bought the rights to the book and raped it. They took out anything that might put Harley in a bad light, such as the pictures and stories of the wild biker rallies, 1% patch holders, pictures of tits and ass among many other things. Now it’s only one book about half the original size.

Reach down between you legs and pretend your nuts were no longer there, that's how I feel that I no longer have a bike.
