video streaming problems...

Post by lmc22 »

Recently for some unknown reason to me my Internet has decided it doesn't want to let me watch any streaming videos anymore. It used to be able to watch 300k quality trailers with no problem, but now I can't hold a steady connection with a 128k or even a 115k video. Anybody got any idea whats happened? I'm using a Netgear W111T USB wireless adapter, which has excellent signal strength and is always connected at 54.0mbps.

For starters, it could be a (lackof) QOS issue, is there anyone else using the network?

Also, check TaskManager to assess CPU usage concering other processes running on your PC...

Check you connection for dropped packets
- ping mysteaminvideodomain.com
- tracert mysteaminvideodomain.com
