Monitor problems.... this sucks

I came home from dinner and what do I see? my monitor has horizontal dark lines whereever there is am image displayed. The lines go across the screen. I am going to take the monitor in today to have it replaced... but I was thinking. Could this be a fault in my Graphics card? I have it slightly overclocked, but nothing that major. 15 extra MHz on the core and 25 on the ram, thats all. I have a fan underneath it sucking the hot air away from it, thats the only extra cooling I have. This will suck if the card is crappy, but good in the fact that it gives me a reason to get a GeFORCE 2 Ultra. So any of you guys have any idea what is wrong?

could be a driver prob, have you tried uninstalling the vid card and reinstalling it?
