KT7A-Raid Cooling??

Post by junoman »

Ok, I just bought a KT7A-Raid and a 1.2 G T-Bird....and I did not bother to check to see what type of fan cooling system would be compatable. So I ordered a Super Orb...and it does not fit.
I am looking to overclock the 1.2 G T-bird and my question is for the KT7A-Raid users what is the best "fan" cooling system out there??

Ok here are the answers u will get...

Freckmoto will say the monster II is all u need.

JDBlitz and a few others like Smaier(sp) will say the Global WINFOP 38

Then there is the alpha pep66 i believe, its too big for ur board, but u can remove teh fan and casing of it so that its mamoth heatsink will fit that way, and u can mount the fan on top, that is my recommendation.

-Tisol CK749920 (odn't remember the exact model #),
- FOP 32 or 38 (38 if you can stand the noise),
- Alpha Pal 6035 with the YS Tech fan (really good cooler expensive though).

I say the Tisol is the best price/perfomence and it's also very quiet. But I have no personal experence with it. The FOP 32 and the Alpha Pal I know for sure they are exclent coolers (currently running duron 600 @ 1000mhz with Alpha Pal 6035)

By all meens stay way from the super orb, it's one of the worst coolers avlible.

Good luck, and you can't go wrong with any of these three coolers.

I say give your computer to FunK. :)

He'll fit it with a FOP 38 and make it haul sphincter.
Simply run adaware, spybot, ZoneAlarm, HijackThis, AVG, update windows daily, have a router, don't open e-mail, turn off action scripting, don't use P2P networks, don't violate EULAs, and wear a condom to get Windows secured.

People say Linux is alot of work!

Well depending on your CPU quality and ram, you probably won't go any higher than 1.3Ghz or so, and @ that speed, your CPU will be quite HOT with air cooling, air cooling also pumps the hot air into your case, heating everything else up. If you're serious about overclocking, get watercooling, something like this:

I'm probably gonna get 1 once i get a Palomino :D

FOP-38 really DOES cool your system...
1Ghz@1.2Ghz idle 33C, cool enough? 41C loaded.
And yeah, i heard that thermal engine is great
