Help

Post by skyman »

I have a problem I need help with on my computer. Here is whats going on. If I leave the computer powered off overnight or more than a couple hours, when I power it back up, I get "disk boot failure, insert system disk and press enter" msg and system locks up. Now, if I unplug the power supply for a second and plug it back in, I can turn the power back on and it works fine. It happens every morning, I try to start it with the power switch, I get the above msg, I unplug/replug the power to the power supply, hit the power switch and all is well as long as I don't leave the power off too long.
I suspect a motherboard battery problem, but I'm not sure.

Any idea's, suggestion's would be great! :)

I don't any advice to give, other than don't turn off your computer. Try hibernating it at night.

Battery issue

Post by skyman »

I'm going to switch the battery out tonight and see what happens. Will I have to reload the motherboard software after the battery change?
