Speed up Mozilla Firefox about 3-30x Faster!!!

1. Type "about:config" into the address bar and hit return. Scroll
down and look for the following entries:

network.http.pipelining
network.http.proxy.pipelining
network.http.pipelining.maxrequests

Normally the browser will make one request to a web page at a time.
When you enable pipelining it will make several at once, which really
speeds up page loading.

2. Alter the entries as follows:

Set "network.http.pipelining" to "true"

Set "network.http.proxy.pipelining" to "true"

Set "network.http.pipelining.maxrequests" to some number like 30. This
means it will make 30 requests at once.

3. Lastly right-click anywhere and select New-> Integer.
Name it "nglayout.initialpaint.delay" and set its value to "0".
This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it recieves.

If you're using a broadband connection you'll load pages 2-30 times faster now.

It work for me and my buddies. so pls test and reply me if it work for u.. :thumb:

You can install this FireFox Add-On to tweaks the settings that you mentioned and more, without need to manually edit entries in about:config

We have an in depth thread about Mozilla/FFox here in our software forum..

But yeah, the days of having to edit the config manually are gone..with plug-ins and such.

Careful with that setting though. Some sites will get clogged up by just a couple users doing that if they're a small site. 10-24 is really enough.

 It does screw things up for websites/forums. A couple of users on the same server..and it's now agonizingly slow for everyone.

the Pipelining thing does absolutely nothing and setting to 30 is useless because Mozilla capped it to a maximum of 8 , so anything above 8 doesnt make any difference.

dont install any ADD ON.

here's a REAL tweak for you based on my own use and not something COPY & PASTE from the net trying to look cool.

type "about:config" in Firefox

find : "network.http.max-connections" set it to 64
find : "network.http.max-connections-per-server" and set to 16
find : "network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-server" and set to 8

find : "network.dns.disableIPv6" set it to TRUE (this makes a huge difference)

that's it. enjoy yer faster connection.

and dont forget....put your PIPELINING tweak all to default. i dont use them, their useless and make problems.
