No. Vista has a different TCP/IP stack from earlier Windows OS.

Thank you very much. What tweaks could be offered for Vista Home Premium 32bit? I have about 2Gs of Ram and it's fast but it doesn't have that zip.

Dell XPS 410
Window Vista Home Premium
Intel 2.40GHz. Core Duo E6600 Processor
Ati Radeon X1300 256Mb
SATA II 250G Western Digital Storage
2Gs of Ram

Vista has an auto-tuning function that adjusts RWIn to suit latency of your TCP connections. No tweak is required.

What you have to do is to ensure good signal quality in your router, modem and line. A tracert (or Vista's equivalent) to http://www.yahoo.com may show up some high or irregular ping times of a bad signal line.

So in essence what you're saying is that the only tweak I can make would be in my signal strengths. The quality of my cable lines, router etc?

Yes. That is one area Vista's auto-tuning function cannot help - ensuring good signal quality.
