PPPoA
hello
i've being using TCPOptimiser for almost 2 years now and at last i decided to become a member of this forum
I recently switch my broadband from PPPoE to PPPoA, so which setting is the most suitable for me? Do i have to tick the PPPoE option?
btw i've converted my aztech dsl600e modem to router mode n my internet speed is 512kbps down 256kbps up

Is not TMNet same as StreamyX? If so, you are on a PPPoE connection and not PPPoA.ottomatteseo wrote:ok i live in malaysia and my ISP is TMNet

PPPoE is the DSL system used by StreamyX. Using a router at your end will not change your ISP's system. Just like importing a car from the US will not change the side of the road other cars will be driven in Malaysia.ottomatteseo wrote:yes im using streamyx but ive changed from pppoe to pppoa using 192.168.1.1
coz it can give a slight speed increase
