Going to partition my bro's 20G HD>

I'll only be putting Win98, MS2000OFFICE and a few other small programs. But I think he'd need a partition for mp3's. How many partitions should there be? Thanks.

I have 2 partitions. 1 for my OS and Apps and another for backup, like MP3's and my Documents

U can get a prog like 'Partition Magic' and create a 15GB partition & a 5GB partition [or whatever #].

I prefer 1 partition myself & do it from HDD disk.

Wouldn't make more than 2 partitions [ C & D ]..

You can buy it at any computer store. It's an awesome program.

L-A-Z-Y Partition magic ha , Tell me if you don't know enough about what you are doing to start with what happens when partition magic messes up ? Trust me find someone to do it for you that knows (A+ certified) or at least someone that can run fdisk . Don't waist your money on programs.

Who said that you had to spend any money to get it

It's good to know how to use FDisk, but that does not mean that Partition Magic is a bad program. I have been usin PM since version 4 and I have never had a problem with it. It also comes in handy when you want a new partition, but you don't want to format your drive in the process.
