Going to partition my bro's 20G HD>

Post by lprocter »

I'll only be putting Win98, MS2000OFFICE and a few other small programs. But I think he'd need a partition for mp3's. How many partitions should there be? Thanks.

U can get a prog like 'Partition Magic' and create a 15GB partition & a 5GB partition [or whatever #].

I prefer 1 partition myself & do it from HDD disk.

Wouldn't make more than 2 partitions [ C & D ]..

L-A-Z-Y Partition magic ha , Tell me if you don't know enough about what you are doing to start with what happens when partition magic messes up ? Trust me find someone to do it for you that knows (A+ certified) or at least someone that can run fdisk . Don't waist your money on programs.
Mcse , A+ and nowhere to go ;)

Who said that you had to spend any money to get it ;) It's good to know how to use FDisk, but that does not mean that Partition Magic is a bad program. I have been usin PM since version 4 and I have never had a problem with it. It also comes in handy when you want a new partition, but you don't want to format your drive in the process.
