2006 Honda Accord - Cost of Rear Bumper

I've got a pretty bad scrape on the rear bumper of my 2006 Honda Accord. Anyone know what the approximate cost of replacing it would be, I'm sure I won't like the answer. It's a fairly big piece of continuous plastic.

I know I can buff some of it out (or should I say get a shop to do it), but there is a spot that would have to be filled in or something...unsure how easy that is to do and match the paint too. Maybe the option to fix it is still there.

Sounds like a body shop could fix it. They can also tell you the cost of a new bumper.

Yeah I just wanted someone here to prepare me for what it might cost. I'm not sure what it is like working with plastic. It seems to me like the plastic not painted, it is one color throughout...if they fill it and paint it I want what the durability is like.

One major issue I have with Honda is that the metal in their body panels is too thin and they dent like crazy. My car is 1 year old and I have large dents on both driver side doors because of azzholes that slam their door into mine. Anyway, I could also get the body shop to work on those dents although I think it don't be the last time.

That is one thing I want to warn people about on this board, if you park in a parking lot or train station each day watch out if you have a Honda.

Maybe I'll post some pics of what I'm talking about.

They always seem to have a bumper bracket and bumper reinforcement but not the bumper itself.

Well from the sound of it I would say it seems like less than 500 to repair, and if bumpers for your car are around the same as nissan's altimas then I'd say around 1k for a replacement.

Good news, thanks. Now the only question, can they get the part through the iron curtain around Canada for a similar price as the U.S.
