how to remove startup screen....

hey guys,

i was wondering if there a way to remove that dumb splash screen that dell put in my friends puter? it appears before the windows boot up screen and i believe it covers the traditional dos screen when the puter does its initial memory test and such.

any ideas?

If you have tweakui. Go under boot and uncheck splash screen. This should do the trick.

The TweakUI setting disables the Windows splash screen and not the "advertisement" screen (for lack of a better disciption).

My Gateway does the same thing. Then you get the Windows splashscreen.

I did try it on my Gateway before I posted this.........

Isn`t that one of those BIOS settings?

Go into bios and arrow over to boot. Select the first line and disable it, that will get rid of the dell splash screen.
