And is aint that great, other than allowing people to get DX10 features for a decnet price.

GTS is decent, I was surprised the HardOCP review didnt compare the 8600s to the 8800GTS though.

Hopefully some coupons come out for it.

$200...8600
$240...8800 (and 33% faster)

Then again the 7000 and x1x00 series were that way, tell people to save an extra $20 and get a shitload more performance.

those prices are pretty good and inline with the GTS and GTX 8800's.. you might see them come down a few bucks here and there but not for another few months.

Is PNY using its own RAM in their cards?

At least you can get DX10 with them. That's about the only good thing I can think of.

PNY is usually a crippled card from the start. Meaning if you have any thoughts of OC'ing the card or are expecting more than average performance, look at another brand.... XFX & BFG are good cards.

Yes, the 8800 GTS is only a few dollars more, but people like me didn't have the extra cash and I couldn't stand another day with my 7300 LE. I got the XFX overclocked version for around $200 and I can play World of Warcraft at 1680x1050 with all the settings maxed.
