Most fun online FPShooter?

Post by fixationdarknes »

I'm starting to get back into gaming a bit, and I wanna start playing a a fun online FPS with some friends. Of course we could all play Counter-Strike, which would probably be fun, but I was wondering if there are more fun FPS games in your opinion?

Oh and I should probably mention that PC would be my first choice, but consoles are an option too. I played Rainbow Six Vegas with my friend all night last night and it was pretty damn good. Any other games like that?
You played the Song of Storms!

I'm liking BF2142. Lotsa action in the new Titan game mode.

I still mostly place bf'42 and DC, sometimes Bf Vietnam.

The newer Battlefields just haven't impressed me...uninstalled.

All though I dont play it anymore, I liked BF2 more than 2142. Seems there is alot more stuff to do in BF2... I miss my choppers and jets. :(

My best FPS gaming experiences on-line were with RTCW and BF-Vietnam.

BF'42 was my favorite online moments. I remember when that game came out it changed everything. 5 BF's later it is still my favorite! wish they would "redo" it, or make a Korea one with the older weapons! :thumb:

I'm so hooked to counter-strike... there are other FPS games out there besides it!?!? LOL j/k

Um, I'm wondering the same thing. BF'42 us good I hear.

F.E.A.R is ok.

The Goldeneye mod that's coming out for Half-Life 2 is going to pwn!

Even though GRAW2 isn't a FPS, I'd suggest getting into that game!

BF 1942 + DC mod.

Desert Combat is probably the "perfect" online shooter. I really don't think it will ever be equaled, not even by the DC team in their nextgen game called Frontlines: Fuel of War.

there was something magical about Desert Combat. The modern day weapons, great flying, great ground action both on foot and in vehicles, and the butt-load of content just set the game in a league of it's own...and to imagine it was all free as a mod for Battlefield 1942.

POE for Battlefield Vietnam came REALLY close to matching this perfection but in the end, DC wins.

Eve of Destruction for BF2 comes out Friday.

It took two years to make the mod but they have a buttload of content.

I'm into America's Army myself. They just came out with some new maps and it keeps getting better. I like the graphics better than BF2, But I enjoy a little BF2 now and then as well. If you ever consider the game, Look me up and I would be happy to help you get started. My Username is ODB_Mac. Good Luck!! :thumb:
