2007 Hond Civic EX

Post by TinyTim »

Yep, just got home from the dealers with the car--paid $200 over invoice and had them throw in a 5-year 100k mile power train warranty :thumb:

Not to shabby, now I am tired, will post pics later--had to take advantage of the year end sales!

Was also looking at a Toyota Matrix that I could have had for $300 under invoice, but thought the Honda was a better buy.

Cool man... I wouldn't mind getting something like that to save some cash on gas.

I'm hemin' and hawin' about downsizing...every now and then start looking for something to replace the thirsty Jeep. Did you put your Jeep out to pasture?

Current car that's making me ponder it...VW's new GTI.

NP, He'll get the optional sunroof, knees around the steering wheel and head hanging out the roof. I can see it now.

Yeah..hopefully they kept the same high roofline profile as the early models. I have not had the opportunity to see one up close yet...not to mention sit in one.

They're really catching my interest though. Although a big expense last weekend put short term big purchases on hold...I finally caved and burned the old xmas bonus, snagged a Westinghouse LCD, and surround system, 'n Motorola home telephone system, and microwave-mini-oven system.

Nope, still have the Jeep--did not trade anything on this, just wanted something that got better mileage. The wife is driving the Jeep as she does not do nearly as much driving.

I bet a person your height would fit o.k. in the Civic, heck I am 6'2" and fit rather well (the telescoping steering wheel is definately a plus)--actually that is what swayed me from a Toyota Matrix was the fact the steering wheel did not telescope like it did in the Civic. I test drove a 2005 Passat and Jetta and did not like either one, maybe because they were used but the quality just did not feel like it was there to me. One had the check engine light on, another the engine made funny noises of which I was told it was normal; then drove a third and the door panel felt like it was going to come off when I pulled it shut--Kind of turned me off from the VW product. I know, to each his own--actually I have never been a Honda fan, always preferred the Toyota over the Honda, that has changed right now.

I have said it before, this car is like a larg Go Cart and fun to drive :thumb:
