"Generic Host Process for Win32 has encountered a problem and needs to close; Send Or Don't Send"
thats the message I sometimes receive when I start my computer or 5 minutes after starting my computer.
Sometimes I don't receive this message but notice there is no sound on my computer completely. And I can't view my wireless network connections.
I use a laptop as well that has a modem put into it. What do you think might be the problem? I mean I was doing fine this message once came up three months ago then gone but back again and its been here for the last couple of days.
List all scenerios I should attempt. Thanks.

Sadly I can relate to your problem. In my case I decided to just back up everything and redo windows all together. But I do know some steps:
-Make sure Windows is up to date
-Make sure your Virus scan is up to date
-Check for spyware with one of the main Products(There are good details on this in other topics of the same problem)
Now if you want to do a System restore enter safe mode. This is done by hitting F8 right before the windows load screen appears. When you do enter safe mode it will automatically ask if you would perfer to do a system Restore and if so click no. (Please read the dialog box that appears just to make sure.)
Well this is just a beginning of steps to take. I wish you better luck then I had, but there are benefits to occasionally reinstalling windows if it comes down to that.
Please also provide who makes your laptop. This is not really important just a theory I am working on at the moment.

Try the following fix:
1. Click Start->Run, type "services.msc" (without quotation marks) in the open box and click OK.
2. Double click the service "Automatic Updates".
3. Click on the Log On tab, please ensure the option "Local System account" is selected and the option "Allow
service to interact with desktop" is unchecked.
4. Check if this service has been enabled on the listed Hardware Profile. If not, please click the Enable button to
enable it.
5. Click on the tab "General "; make sure the "Startup Type" is "Automatic". Then please click the button "Start"
under "Service Status" to start the service.
6. Repeat the above steps with the other service: Background Intelligent Transfer Service (BITS)
Re-register Windows Update components and Clear the corrupted Windows Update temp folder
================================
1. Click on Start and then click Run.
2. In the open field type "REGSVR32 WUAPI.DLL" (without quotation marks) and press Enter.
3. When you receive the "DllRegisterServer in WUAPI.DLL succeeded" message, click OK.
4. Please repeat these steps for each of the following commands:
REGSVR32 WUAUENG.DLL
REGSVR32 WUAUENG1.DLL
REGSVR32 ATL.DLL
REGSVR32 WUCLTUI.DLL
REGSVR32 WUPS.DLL
REGSVR32 WUPS2.DLL
REGSVR32 WUWEB.DLL
After the above steps are finished. Sicne temporary folder of Windows Update may be corrupted. We can refer to the
following steps to rename this folder that
1. Click Start, Run, type: cmd and press Enter. Please run the following command in the opened window.
net stop WuAuServ
(note, you might need to reboot before the net stop command will work)
2. Click Start, Run, type: %windir% and press Enter.
3. In the opened folder, rename the folder SoftwareDistribution to SDold.
4. Click Start, Run, type: cmd and press Enter. Please run the following command in the opened window.
net start WuAuServ

All you got to do is, close the so called port 135 & 445
To close it, do the following steps:
1. Open Registry Editor by going to Start>Run and in the box type: regedit.exe and press OK.
2. Now, from the Registry Editor, go to Edit>Find or Ctrl+F and write “TransportBindName” in the box without the quotation mark. It may take few mins to search. This value can be found in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\NetBT\Parameters
3. Double-click on that value and delete the default value in the box and press OK.
4. Find the value “EnableDCOM” which can be found in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Ole
5. Double-click on that value and set the value in the box as ‘N’ which currently maybe set as ‘Y’.
6. Close the Registry Editor and restart your pc.
