13-0-2! Go Pens!

Post by RoscoPColtrane »

Pittsburgh Penguins have points in their last 15 straight and move within 5 pts of the Devils for lead in the division. not bad for a team that was last in the conference for two years straight. Last time they had a stretch like this was in 1993!

This team is getting a bit scary! They haven't even been playing that "great" in the last couple games. Seems like everyone is contributing which is key in my mind.

GO PENS! :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

I might be able to enjoy some playoff hockey for the first time since 2001! *knocks on wood!* :D

Hi RoscoPColtrane

Finishing last has some advantages, like First Round Picks that netted them some real talent and now they are using it to their advantage and putting a great Team on the ice.

A couple of years from now however it will be very difficult to keep the Team together as new contracts loom and the Cap starts to hit them, so enjoy while you can. :thumb:

Thats a fact, I know they will toss money at Crosby and Fluery is a must, we havn't had a quality goalie in a while and this kid is just gonna get better. I seriously think he may be a big name goalie in a few years.

The problem will be between Malkin and Staal. Both players are gonna be wanting money in the same year. That is a tough one. Malkin is a GREAT player but there is just something about Staal that makes me say keep him. His penatly killing is amazing.....

Gonna enjoy it while i can! GO PENS!

good to see the CDN kid make the playoffs!

I was going to post a link to that thread, but the SG search results for "bullsh|t" were too numerous

sometimes you have to think outside the box to get inside the box ;).

14-1-2....

Looks like the islanders scored with 28 seconds left to win...

Didn't get a chance to watch it. Crosby added another 4 assists to his total (95 pts?) and malone had the Hat Trick w/ Recchi adding another 2.

The key here is that they jump back up after a loss like this and get back into winning more games. In the past they were so streaky that they would have a few game winning streak then a few games lossing. can't afford that now, eastern conf standings are way to close, especially when the loss was to an eastern team fighting for a spot... :irate: :irate: :irate:
