Windows 2000 Workstaion not inheriting domain security policy?

Post by Dogmeat »

I've recently set up a Windows 2000 domain, running in mixed mode ... I have configured the domain security policy, however, I cannot get any of the workstations that I have created within the domain to inherit the domain security policy. I have the domain controller security policy set as well ... I am wondering, is there a specific service responsible for pushing this policy out to each workstation within the domain? I had thought they automatically did this via active directory ... has anyone else run into this strange problem as well?

What kind of workstations (operating system wise) I think if they are 9x or nt they need a patch to use active directory. I may be off base.
