WInME and my Power Supply Fan

Post by Sleepy »

After upgrading to ME my Power Supply fan shuts off as soon as the ME slash screen comes up, Boot to the safe mode fan keeps running. Uninstall ME (back to 98se) and the fan continues to run. Reinstall ME and the fan stops. I have disabled the "Power" controls my Bios and all the settings in the "Energy Settings" in the Properties are NOT turning anything off! Microsoft says they can't figure out anything, Gateway says it's not the OS that was shipped with the system so I'm on my own. Never buy from them again! Any Ideas? Wrote to Call for Help and the Screen Savers on TechTV with no response.
Puter is a PII-350, 128Meg RAM, STB Video card 30 Gig HD

No sleepy I did not think you were serious,I was joking back to your reply,ok ,so no harm done.really though,I don't know the answer to your question, but my opinion is this, what I said I meant,I really like win98se,I think it is stable and crashes very seldom ,I think it will be a long time before ME is a useable OS,and it does not surprize me that people are having problems with ME.by then whistler will be out and then it will be a year or so after that for whistler to be stable enough to use.I wish I could help with your question.anyway, have a great day.
