What is this SG Folding?

I see this in alot of sigs and I was wondering what it is. I keep looking around but I cant seem to find what folding is/does. What do you fold? How do I get into it? Can I still get into it? Any info would be great. Thanks!

The SG distributed computing forum is where our folding team hides. You download the client and create a username, enter team 15 and a few settings later are folding, depending on what client you get( graphical or text) we can help ya set it up.

The teams thing makes it more fun, competitive. Our team has been falling down in rank, but we're still in the top 50

when do u guys let it run? and what should I set the CPU usage?

2 idle at 100% get the console version that runs as a service. youll never know it there

disable CPU optimization? no

mine runs 24/7

If your PC is usualyl off then leaving it on 24/7 with max cpu usage it could up the electric bill some. Then you could set CPU % lower or not run it all the time.

Folding only uses the CPU when your not, so during a game that uses it all it'll sit idle.

For some games I'll turn it off.
