Sharing broadband connection with my laptop.

I brought a new laptop and would like to connect it to the internet. I already have a PC and it has a broadband connection. i was wondering if i could share my broadband tht i have with my PC with my new laptop. If yes plz let me know how. the laptop is: HP pavilion dv2104eu. i know it has wireless but still i want to know if i can share my PC internet connection.

You can enable Internet Connection Sharing on PC to share Internet connection, however this PC needs to have 2 network/wireless adapters.

Assuming you have broadband internet, I urge you to buy a wireless router, connect the router to your broadband modem and then connect your 2 computers to the router, either by Cat5 or wireless.
ICS can be flakey and doesn't provide NAT protection like the router. I wouldn't want to have my IP address exposed to the public.
Routers aren't expensive and provide good protection not available with ICS.

I'm running a Motorola SB5100, with a Linksys WRT54GX2 wireless router, and haven't had any real problems, other than a firmware upgrade I did recently messing up my laptop's connection. Cost all of $140 for everything and it was worth every penny.

I agree with lenwest: get an actual wireless router.
