DOCSIS 3.0 was recently approved, allowing service providers to use a wider range of frequencies. Once the equipment becomes available, upstream bandwidth can increase right away -- and even more if the FCC releases the analog spectrum after broadcasters fully move to digital in a few years.

DOCSIS 2.0 was approved over 5 yrs ago and I don't know of a single operator that offers speeds that max out DOCSIS 1.0. I see 3.0 as a band-aid until speeds comparable to fiber can be delivered to a subscribers home. (in Japan or Korea)
BTW, the FCC doesn't have to approve the technology that the cablecos decide to use. (Thank God!)
You've got about the smae speeds as me, faster upload, and thats all DOCSIS 1.1 compliant, even comcasts power boost that brings in 12-30mbps download is listed as DOCSIS 1.1
