Converting Acrobat Reader Files

I have some Acrobat Reader Files that I would like to make into a CD booklet. I need the files to be in a .jpg format. I have tried everything I can think of to change the format but with not luck. I have loaded the files into Adobe Photoshop 5.0 and all they were, were blobs of black and white and looked nothing like the pictures. I even saved them IN photoshop to .jpg and it came out the same way. Can anyone point in the right direction of how to do this? I am in need of an Acrobat Reader to .jpg File converter!
