vxd KEEPS CRASHING (BoD)
i keep getting blue screens of death every once in a while that refers to something about my vxd. my internet stops working and i have reboot in order to reconnect. i am using RASPPPOE (baby!). ****ing vxd!

Ok, I'm getting a constant BSoD with VXD talking about PPPMAC[04] and NDIS[04]. Can someone give me any info on what to do.
Suture, you mentioned getting the vxd from the CD or reinstalling my communications stack. How?
I really need some help. I'm totally locked out of my internet connection because of these BSoD's. thanks

What are the numbers related to the BSOD..
you wrote it gets it with NDIS this is one related fix http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q243/1/99.ASP
This is another related to BSOD that fix's a Socks error that causes a BSOD in win98 and win98SE http://humlog.homestead.com/nicksconsulting/files/10055NoBufferWin98.zip
heres a fix that deals with freeze ups http://www.dslreports.com/faq/faq#156
I suggest doing all of them..

unfortunately I don't have access to the computer at the moment (if I did, I wouldn't have access to the internet, had to take my pick). The BSoD happens when I use any program that uses internet access (including all dos commands)
dannjr, thanks for the links, I'll try them when I get home. What does the second one do? I looked at it and all it does is change max number of connections. I can't even get 1.

Ok, here's an update for y'all and some info incase anyone else ever experiences this.
My problem was not the tweaks. My problem was that ZoneAlarm Pro did not like the changes for some reason. Version 2.1 (the latest one I believe) is the culprit. I uninstalled ZAP and everything worked great. So, I reinstalled it to see if that would help matters. Nope! So off it came. I reverted back to version 1.0.64 and now everything is great! Lesson learned? Don't always think it's the tweakers fault

What is the last thing (software or hardware) that you installed before getting BSODs?
I used to get the same bs o' death.Could never figure out why I would.Last week I ugraded to a new harddrive(reformatted, reinstalled WinSE),updated my flash bios, and put in a brand new power supply. It hasn't happened since.
Not sure if that cured the problem,or if it sneaked off all on it's own, lol.
