Satellite Radio

Post by ace »

Who has it and do you like it? Also do you think the price is to much? I just picked up the RoadyXT and am in love with it. Took it up north with me last weekend and it was nice to not search for radio stations when I was out of range. And the selection is very nice, I can always find something to listen to and love the comedy stations.
I will be using it alot in my work van which is the main reason for buying it. I drive roughly 100 miles a day in my van so I listen to radio alot. :)

I have Sirius radio and I definitely like it. I think the year package if I recall was about $140 dollars or so.

I have XM, factory installed, paid $60 for 1 year subscription. I let my free 3 month subscription run out, they sent me a bill for like 100+ to continue the subscription for another year. I declined, waited about a month, got an offer in the mail for previous subscribers to come in at a lower rate, so I bit :D

A couple channels do have commercials but they arent really long like regular radio, and I know you wouldnt buy it yos but its worth it to me.

I also tried the free three days trials online through sirius and xm and chose xm because of the programming. I liked it alot better than sirius but I am sure both have there good and bad. :)

I have Sirius and absolutely love it! One of the best purchases I've made...honestly. You can't go wrong with either of the two companies if you ask me. 100% better than terrestrial radio!! :thumb: I have a plug and play unit. I take it out of my car and then just plug it into my boombox at work.

If you like Stern...get Sirius. His show's are better than ever! They also have his show's streaming on his site and through sirius.com. You will need to use your sirius username / pass to log in though.

Price is fine, which I pay quarterly. Best money I spend every month just about.

I dont know about sirius as i have never used it let alone heard it. But i do love my XM! I heard it once in my bosses vehicle and was astounded by the clarity of the music didnt particularly care for the music he had it set too.

When i bought my latest car it came with XM from the factory. I thoroughly enjoy it when i am driving down the road minus the tunnels.

What are your favorite channels for Sirius?

Mine are:

-Faction
-Sirius Hits 1
-H100
-The Pulse

Few others from time to time...depends on my mood, ect. :thumb:

I love my local stations, so XM is useless for me. Only reason I have it is cuz it came installed from the factory.
