Hi Jarngrimr
We resigned McCabe and Lindros. Good? Bad?....Ugly?

I like McCabe, but not that much. Jeez whats Ferguson thinking. No Trade, No demotion, 5 years at near $6 Million per. Crazy.

Lindros
He's still a cancer imho. Should have dumped him when they had the opportunity.

Canes Win tonight...4-1 Hows that for a guess. Hahaha

Well though I agree that it was too much....you gotta admit that as a power play specialist, this year, he was the best in the league.

Lindros? When Sundin was hurt at the beginning of the year it was Lindros that was picking up the slack.

Off the ice? Agreed. Cancerous. On the ice for 3/4 of a mil? Why not?

Hi Jarngrimr

Jarngrimr
Re McCabe; the Power play was his bag this year in the early part though he tailed off at seasons end. His defensive abilities and his brain farts at times leave him vulnerable imho. Not worth 6 Mil. Perhaps $5 Mil which would have left room for another youngster on the Team. 5yrs. & the No Trade clause was a huge mistake imho as well. 3 years at best would have been more to my liking.

Lindros at 3/4 of a mil is too much imho also. Too slow, too injury prone, too much baggage as well. He will end up taking the spot of someone younger and faster that could otherwise fill that slot. Can't see it myself, but of course i'm no Lindros fan and never will be.

---

I guess next season will tell the tale.

Take care & have a good night :)

Hi CableDude

Buffalo played well and are to be congratulated for their efforts. They certainly where full value as a Team and they played as hard as they could. Standout performances in Net & on their D.

They definitely have something to build on and will no doubt be in the mix again next year. :thumb:

I like the Oilers chances considering they have had 10 days or so of rest and hopefully are over the flu bug.

Liabilities...imho they do not shoot enough.

Pluses...Great Goaltending and excellent Coaching Staff. Also terrific Ice which helps their skating game.

--

The Canes

Liabilities...Little rest and long series. They will be hurting. They too like the pretty plays.

Pluses...Great Coaching Staff, Good Goaltending and leadership. Healthy lineup.

--

Should be a good 6 or 7 Game Series, with the Oilers prevailing i think. Penalties will probably be a major factor, unfortunately.

Yea :(

No one had faith in Buffalo. Sooooo many people said we wouldn't make it past the Flyers, then after we took them, they said NOOOOO way we'd beat Ottawa, and we almost sweeped them. I really felt this was our year, damn injury bug :(

Hi

I hadn't heard they'd signed Lindros but accepted what you'd stated. I'd been looking to find out more, but nothing till this in the Sun Newspaper this morning.

--

Ferguson
Meanwhile, Ferguson denied reports making the rounds yesterday suggesting the team had come to terms with Eric Lindros on a one-year deal worth $750,00.

"That is inaccurate," Ferguson said, adding the two sides had not been in contact recently.

Lindros continues to work out and is said to be making good progress while rehabbing his injured wrist.
--

Lord i hope what he says is true and no deal is offered Lindros. He has nothing they need imho.

--

This too in the paper...a Poll

Is $28.75 million US for five years the right price for the Leafs' Bryan McCabe?
---

Yes, it's a bargain 15%

No, they overpaid 85%

Total Votes for this Question: 507

Just thought you'd like to know the latest.

Have a good one. :)

Woooooooo! Let's go Canes!!!
Simply run adaware, spybot, ZoneAlarm, HijackThis, AVG, update windows daily, have a router, don't open e-mail, turn off action scripting, don't use P2P networks, don't violate EULAs, and wear a condom to get Windows secured.

People say Linux is alot of work!
