Cute little pup there....make sure to read up about the specific breed of dog your interested in...some folks make mistakes when picking out new pooches as they are unaware of the needs or particular behaviors a certain breed might possess. I'm not familiar with this particular breed but Humby appears to be and might be able to shed some light on the hounds.
Living Conditions
The Treeing Walker Coonhound is not recommended for apartment life. These scenthounds are too anxious to lie idly around a suburban home or condo.
Great dogs, don't get me wrong, but stubborn, needing tons of exercise, and more likely to follow their nose than listen to you.

To be human is to choose.
It is better to die on your feet
than to live on your knees.

A little research goes a long way. When we picked our dog (Cairn Terrier) we used this site to narrow the breed. http://dogbreedinfo.com/search.htm It was the best few hours of research I did. Our dog fit the family perfect and since we did the research we knew what he needed. Had him for 3 years, perfect fit. Good luck.
Good looking dogs, especially cute as puppies. But hounds are generally about as smart as that leaf that fell off the tree in the yard last fall, and hopefully you don't have neighbors. Because they don't shut up.

i'd like to respectfully suggest that you adopt a dog from a local shelter. Millions of dogs are killed every year because there aren't enough homes for them. also, someone at the shelter will be able to talk to you about your lifestyle and which dog/breed fits your life.
