The weasel will probably squirm his way out of it. I hope he doesn't tho. He will probably do like daddy did and give Libby a presidential pardon.

Bush has his claws in too deep, he won't be going anywhere. I wouldn't be surprised if he is still in office post 2008 by some ridiculous measure that will be passed.

Keep in mind that the leak is about classified information and not about the outing of Plame.

That said, Bush can declassify whatever he wants as President. It's just hypocritical when the administration goes after the folk who leaked the info about illegal eavesdropping and this one was to help cover his arse on the misstatements about the uranium shipments to Iraq from south Africa.

Couldnt have said it any better. I just know this whole situation is frustrating because I have people around me who still remain blindly loyal to this Administration. :(

That shouldn't be too hard. declare 1/2 of congress and 1/2 the senators as terrorist sympathizers and you got yourself a nice delay. :rotfl:

I don't mean to stir the pot again...but why is it bush supporters tend to avoid talking about all this damning stuff about him these days? They used to argue for him to the death.

I can't figure out if many are coming around to how bad he really is, and are therefore embarrassed by the issue and don't want to talk about it...

or if they know he's up to bad stuff, but just don't care because he's otherwise doing what they want in terms of tax cuts, religion and war...and just prefer not to talk about the dark side of it because at this point, thats the best remaining way to gloss it over and keep attention off it.

What do you guys think? Is it still full-on brainwash with most of his supporters, or at this point do you think they secretly know and just dont care?
Funny is when a fat lady walks around while someone plays the tuba. Once you've seen that, you'll never laugh at anything else. Except maybe a skeleton dancing around while someone plays the xylophone, which is almost exactly the opposite of a fat lady walking around while someone plays the tuba. Well, a skeleton is the opposite of a fat lady. But is a xylophone the opposite of a tuba? History will decide.

Most supporters I run into, jayyy, pass it off as Bush doing what's best for this country. For me, it's hard to belive but it's really that simple.

thats so weird...they think they love the country more than the doubters, but they don't seem to really understand what a free democratic country is founded on, or the principles that made america great in the first place, it was the opposite of what bush does.

I'll stop short on that bush/hitler stuff, even I dont take it that far. but seriously...I remember reading about germany in the 30's, and how they went from having a democracy to a dictatorship.

in hindsight, people make it look like the bad guys seized power, but in reality they were voted in democratically, and when they moved to dictatorship a lot of people were okay with it.

i couldnt understand why people would allow it to happen...but stuff like this is why. People violate sacred rules for "the good of the country"

you might make some gains in the short term...but in the long run if you dont punish people for violating the constitution, the whole system falls apart.
