the ip referenced in this thread wont work for a belkin g.... gotta look in your manual to find the ip to setup your router...I'll help if you come back but most don't
This forum page is now my "homepage". So I'm forced to remember my problems everytime I click on explorer..
lol
Ok, so what do you want me to get from the manual?
I only have a linksys router so i'm not familiar with a belkin but it works in a similar way ....inside the manual there should be and ip address to configure the router ...more than likely it's something like 192.168.xxx.xxx.... type that into your address bar and hit enter....from there you should see a configuration page.... and from there look for a tab or link to 'ports or applications' ...my linksys labels it 'applications and gaming' so it should be something similar to that .....look for that first and let me know if you find ....we'll take it from there.
But after going to Accessories> Command Prompt, and typing in "ipconfig", the similar number I got was
192.168.2.1
But when I type it in the address bar, nothing happens.

signal strength depends on what you got in between it ...some parts of your house will get a better signal depening on how big your house is .... obviously th e closer to your router the strong the signal will be ... just hit print screen ...save it is a .jpg file and email it to me ...did you see anything related to ports when you looked at your configuration page ?
hhmm. I don't see anything there that mentions ports...
but I have pasted the image in Word.. so what's your email addy? Shall I send as attachment?
