The ad in the center of that page for "Your sex drive shouldn't slow" was more interesting.

This crap is why we need to bring back duels. It's a win-win for the public.

What does being a christian have to do with this? The interview I read never brought up Christianity. Seems like a pretty general statement IMO.

Hannity is one of the faces of "Christian conservative" movement; he moralizes on his show all the time, invokes God all the time, yet he calls in specifically to participate in name-calling and baiting on purpose here.

And before you get amped up, I'm no Christian basher. I am a Christian (albeit a very poor one)...but I won't hesitate to call someone out when they go off into Nowheresville. In this case, Hannity should be ashamed of himself, no matter how much Alec Baldwin gets his ire.

Just seems like an unnecessary reference IMO. Hannity is alot of things so Im not sure why the Christian angle was mentioned, but hey Im sure no harm was meant. :)

Because it explempifies the hypocrisy of a man who is supposedly a Christian. It's not an attack on all Christians. Burke's thread title is referencing the good ole boy Christian right network that our current admin is part of and the right wing neo-con media boobs that support them blindly.

Its the fault of the original interviewer for letting it go so far. Very unprofessional.

Yeah obviously for ratings but still I can't see how a true journalist would have allowed a gangup like that to happen. I mean jeez they even brought the guys wife into it.

'True journalist'

Bob Woodward and Carl he isn't ....I don't think any of those asshats on TV are anything remotely close to a true journalist.....I mean they knew what would happen ....

:nope: What one jackhole calls himself or assumes himself to represent, does not mean that that group will endorse him as representing them. To allude, with cynisicm/sarcasm, that whole group in with the behavior of that individual is taken as a stereotypical jab.

Guess I dont watch the show enough. I cant recall him ever stating he was the face of christian conservatives. In fact I grew up in a christian conservative home and work at a school filled with them everyday and never once heard someone even suggest Hannity was the face of conservative christians. I have heard he is the face of Conservatives, but not conservative christians. :nope:

I do get your point and no I wasn't offended by it. :)

Sean Hannity is one of the biggest idiots a Christian God or any other has ever produced. Doesnt suprise me in the least. What was with the "put-downs" too....construction worker? being from Long Island? Pretty pathetic display by both sides in that respect. My niece and nephew are more creative than that.

I love that little saying of his. That's the thing about pathological liars, if they say something enough, they'll begin to believe it as truth.

Of course that also applies for people on the other "side" as well.

I dont think the point is that all conservative christians are hypocrites...just that there are so many people that claim to have the moral highground, yet dont have an ounce of class in their whole bodies.

baldwin was even worse and even more childish, but at least he's just an actor. Hannity is a journalist on a national network and supposedly a promotor of christian values.

that people like him with his arguing style dominate so much of national debate says a lot about the decay and moral decline of the nation- no matter how much the perpetrators want to thump their bibles self-righteously and claim thd problem lies only people that disagree with them.
Funny is when a fat lady walks around while someone plays the tuba. Once you've seen that, you'll never laugh at anything else. Except maybe a skeleton dancing around while someone plays the xylophone, which is almost exactly the opposite of a fat lady walking around while someone plays the tuba. Well, a skeleton is the opposite of a fat lady. But is a xylophone the opposite of a tuba? History will decide.

It's just how the game works in radio broadcasting anymore. The same can be said for the cable news interviewers.

Shameful as those listening, really don't recieve any discourse.

It is also worth mentioning that WABC is Hannity's home station. If the host of that program wanted to keep his job at the station, cutting off their flagship personality would be a bad idea.

It played out like a Morton Downey Junior stunt with Ad hominem, posturing and reckless chatter. All the while, no one hangs up the telephone.... for the sake of low brow entertainment.

Burke has made a number of good posts and points lately, which is to say I agree with him.

Maybe we also need to look at nomenclature also. Bush a Conservative? I don't think so - he spends and acts like a radical on a drunken spree.

As for the so-called newscasters, I think a better term would be entertainers.
