Hi Kip

What a black eye for Justice that is. Nice to know the double standard still exists. :(

She sure wouldn't walk if she had been at my place! (Not for a few hours/days anyway... :D )

The real trial was over a few months ago, here in Hillsborough County. Up in Marion Co, they probably would have had to put the kid on the stand, which the parents didn't want...

Double standards? They are everywhere... ;)
Perhaps she blew the prosecutor in Tampa...

Careful. That argument doesn't jibe well here. Not to mention some of the denouncers chose to joke about it previously.

Hi Minir - that was my initial reaction, too.

Since thinking more about it, proceeding may be more revenge than justice. Justice is in the eye of the victim, not what we do to the aggressor. This may one day pan out to be the best decision for the victim. Having this plastered on every perdiodical across the globe...could you imagine worse for a teenager - hopefully, this decision by the DA will minimize and already awful situation.

Don't for a second think I condone this behavior.

you know what I don't understand about this? She confessed. Why would the kid have to testify?
