McAfee

Post by Dr Cheese »

got the 2006 virus scan thingy and loaded it onto my computer and all is well with the world

it merrily scanned my system for a couple of hours and detected a load of stuff which i have now got rid of and my life is somewhat happier

however

it keeps telling me that my windows fire wall is a load of kak

is it true and should i go with the McAfee wonder firewall or is my little windows wall going to be fine and are McAfee are trying to seperate me from my cash by scareing an old man who knows naff all about computers ?

To be honest McAfee is a load of "kak". But it is true that XPs firewall is only "half" a firewall, it only blocks inbound attacks and alerts you nothing going outbound on your pc.
