My dad is finaly deciding to get rid of dialup and go with cable or dsl. He has a computer at our house and his owned work and he wants broadband for both places, but im confused if we have to buy seperate plans for both(meaning pay alot of money every month for both) or i dont know! i just need a solution to have both of these computers have dsl somehow. pleae tell me if there is solution to this!

You need to purchase a router. Connect two or more PCs to the router and the router connects to the DSL or cable modem. This way you run 2 or more PCs on the same network with only 1 account.

how long can the router go because my dad works like 10 miles away from home, i think it wont go that far

The router is for your house, local area network (LAN)

im not talking about home networking. thats useless if the computers are at different location(im talking about miles away from the house) i talked to a person and he said that i have to buy seperate plans for the one at home and at his working place. good news that i recieved is that both locations are eligible for verizon. the guy said that i should talk to them to see if they offer a discount for the varying locations

sadly i guess so i think he can afford that, i might have to talk to my dad to make sure. currently we are deciding to talk to verizon later and what they say about it

i was going to say it is impossible to share a connection over that distance...

i hope your ISP helps you out although i very much doubt it
