The other 2 are using a router. 1 is named Dad, the other named jay( jay's is using the LAN), and the pc i use is my named jons. we are all in the same workgroup. Firewalls are turned off. We all have files that we enabled to share. but when i click "my network places", i cant see any of the shared files. my vaio is running on windows xp pro. any help? the funny thing is that it was working yesterday, but i went to work today with my vaio and came home to all these troubles.

If all computers are working online behind the router then that would mean that the router is allowing the connection and you have mentioned also about turning off firewall. At that it should be able to detect the networking, if in case that needs further configuration for file and printer sharing, you can go to http://www.linksys.com/kb and type on the search bar 280. That is the answer ID for file and printer sharing,

By the way, what is the model number for the router
